This one is a family favourite! And really REALLY simple to do. Of course, it oozes oil, but really good to have with rotis or as an accompaniment for dal rice.
- 1 medium sized cauliflower
- 1/2 tsp haldi
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- salt to taste
- oil for frying
Wash the cauliflower well. Chop into small florets and soak in salt water for 10 minutes. Wash again and marinate in haldi, red chilli and salt for 30 min or so.
Heat oil for frying in a non stick pan and drop the marinated florets. Fry on low heat in batches. After tossing it for 2 min at the start, cover the pan for a while for the florets to soften. After 5 min or so, open to check if cooked. If done, toss it around a little more to brown the florets.
When done, remove and place on some tissue paper to absorb the excess oil-ooze.
